Industry Updates and Tariff Insights: July 2025

This year, the tariffs imposed on imported goods from most countries will impact many areas of the green industry, including lighting, tools, equipment, irrigation, agronomics, and hardscapes.

While tariffs, specific to each country, will likely impact supply chain operations, pricing and product availability, SiteOne is working with suppliers to minimize the potential impact on our customers. These updates are constantly changing and we will continue to monitor new developments to keep customers informed about potential impacts on their business.

Canadian prices, even if they are not subject to Canadian tariffs, could be impacted by U.S. tariffs imposed on U.S. suppliers.

What to Expect

  • In response to higher costs for tariffs, suppliers will increase their prices.
     
  • Pricing updates for lighting, tools, equipment and irrigation products are in effect, with more expected in the next 30-45 days. See table below for the latest pricing updates.
     
  • Tariffs and sourcing challenges may negatively affect product availability based on country of origin (COO).
     
  • Both finished goods and raw materials required to manufacture landscape supplies have and will continue to experience cost increases.

Things You Can Do to Protect Your Business

  • Set up a SiteOne account at your local branch or online here to ensure you receive the most competitive pricing we can offer.
     
  • Provide your email address so we can keep you informed and ensure you get any promotional offers in the future.
     
  • Coordinate with your SiteOne branch for all upcoming projects. In situations where there may be extreme product shortages, our team can work with you to identify potential alternatives to fit your needs.
     
  • Limit project quote windows for your customers to 15-30 days while we remain in this dynamic period.
     
  • Use our Early Order Programs to buy ahead of future price increases and take advantage of extended payment terms.
     
  • With material costs rising, pass these on to your customers in a timely manner.
     
  • Share this information with your customers.
     
  • Call your local branch associates for pricing specifics.
